KB1VXY: Framingham 53.270 W1FRS PL 71.9, output 100
KB1GMX: remember that antennas cut for SSB section of the band may not tune well up in the FM section.
Also openings on 6 meters will include the FM section of the band.
Ideal would be a 6 meter vertical ground plane.

6: KB1GMX: We had a weak CME, a flare, some solar wind. 6 meters is not as affected as lower HF, but it will sometimes degrade 6 meters. For 6 meters, we look for sustained high sun spot numbers with low flares and CMEs. Also, if we have auroral activity, 6 meters can be an interesting mode for CW, data, and even phone. Also the end of April is the start of the sporadic E season when 6 meters is at its best.
K1TW: notes that there is goo propagation right after the equinox, assuming no other solar activity, for HF frequencies, in particular 10, 15, 20 and 40 meters.
K1NR: notes 10 and 12 meters into the evening, to Australia and New Zealand.
KB1VXY: There is a QST column that addressed 50MHz and up each month.
